Mission

We believe in keeping West Indianapolis a place where people want to live and work. This is our central goal and everything we do revolves around this belief.

We believe that safe, affordable housing is the foundation of a viable neighborhood. We assist with home repair and home purchase. We build new homes and provide rental housing for seniors and families.

We believe a neighborhood must include amenities so that its residents are proud to call it “Home.” We work with many partners, both in and out of the community, to improve our parks, schools and opportunities for youth.

We believe business is vital to our community – providing needed goods and service employment. We work with small and large businesses by assisting with individual and community-wide improvements.

We believe in West Indianapolis.

The West Indianapolis Development Corporation is improving neighborhoods and helping people. If you live or work in West Indianapolis, you have a stake in our success.
