Community Advisory Panel

The Community Advisory Panel was formed over 20 years ago to engage community leaders in active two-way dialogue and flow of information originally regarding safety and air quality concerns.  Formed with the three anchor institutions Ingredion (then National Starch), Eli Lilly, and IPL the group now includes: WIDC, Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center, West Indy Library, Southwest Health Center, IPS Schools Daniel Webster #46, Thomas Edison #47, William Penn #49, and George Washington Community High School, West Indy Neighborhood Congress, The Valley Neighborhood Association, IUPUI, IFD #19, and IMPD SW District. The CAP meets 10 times per year to address company safety issues, community concerns, and neighborhood projects (e.g. Holiday Tree Lighting, Great Indy Cleanup, and Lilly Day of Service).
