Winterfest is an annual event that is organized by WIDC, the West Indy Library, Mary Rigg, and the Community Advisory Panel. This event started in 2009 as the West Indy Tree Lighting Ceremony, and took place on the parking lot between the West Indy Library and WIDC's offices.  This free community event provides pictures with Santa, hats and gloves for children, games, prizes, and a meal.  Winterfest has been held at Daniel Webster School 46 since 2022.
